Well after 19 years at one address we made the decision to move this spring. Have to say it was anything but fun in doing so ! Unbelievable how much one can gather over the course of time. We made the big move April first and many small trips to and from over the next couple of weeks. Pretty much all is in place and straight as of now, weeks later.
This place has a bigger side and backyard than the old. Seemed kind of weird giving up the other place. Yet at the same time it has been exciting in a way. The dogs were all frantic the first few day. Yet they all decided they loved the move when they discovered the have a big fenced in backyard to roam. A deck to sun on and sleep there afternoons away!

I know I have been absent for sometime on the blog being busy getting this move in order as well as executed. Yard work caught up and garden in now. So will get back to keeping up with the site and friends. Spring is here and the summer about to unfold. Kim is free now from teaching as summer vacation is upon us. Fishing and traveling in store as well. Not going to make it to Montana this summer. Opted to adventure off to the Ozarks trout fishing as well as site seeing. Line up the dog sitter and pack the bags then go for it !
( My youngest daughter/Child )
The Class of 2017, Lafayette High School. St. Joseph Missouri took to the task of presenting this years graduating Seniors on Mothers Day, May 22nd at The Civic arena. Among those who walked was my youngest of six and the final to walk the isle.
Now in the midst of my “bragging rights” lies the fact that I am not getting younger in the meantime ! It’s been another milestone in the walk of life indeed. Congratulations Josie Amber.
You’re Going To Be Putting This Cinnamon Spread On EVERYTHING…
Seriously good! It’s fall and everything is about pumpkins, right?
The day started with crisp sunny skies. the temperature rose to the 70 F with a small breeze. Beautiful day for outdoor fall festivities.
Pumpkin carriage ride anyone?
St. Joseph famed Pony Express Stables (This is where it all started)

Pumpkin Mountain (featured lighting on friday evening. The festivities run from October 7-9th this year
After a tenderloin sandwich for me and Pepos street tacos for Kim we walked around checking out the many interesting vendors. Also was a small children carnival. The music tent was alive with talent and the crowd was fairly large for mid day.
We then took in our usual funnel cake topped with strawberries & whip cream. then off to home we went. Looking forward to the coming of South Fall Festival around the 22nd. This festival normally happens in the first of September, however due to the heavy rain fall over the several day period this annual event takes place, it was postponed and rescheduled to October.
We hope your weekend is just as special and eventful where ever you are, that you enjoying as well.
